19" Rack kit for the DJM 900

Did a 19" rack mounting kit ever surface?

The only thing I found on google is this http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/DJ/Accessories-and-Software/CP-900

But you can't still buy it.

Maybe some one have an other solution????

  1. I would say just from looking at it, 5 maybe 6 rack spaces

  2. you mean the plastic bezzle that says DJM-900?

if the calculations are correct:

1 rack U is 1.79 inches, the 900 is 16 inches deep so thats about 8 rack spaces

1 rack unit = 1 3/4 inches (or 1.75")

Yes I mean the plastic front bezel that has 'Pioneer' on the front and DJM-900 Nexus on the top.

yes, the front bezzle consists go 5 screws that easily come out in the front and the bezzle will slide right off

With the front bezel off can you see into the inside of the mixer or is there a metal cover?

it's metal, that bezzle is literal just for show, there may be a small hole here and there but nothing to worry about

With the front bezel removed, what is the depth of the metal case?  Is it still 16 inches?

not sure, just measure yours, you can see on the mixer where the plastic meets the metal

the front bezzle adds exactly 1 inch, just measured.. 14 inches without, 15 with. I guess they measure it at 16 to account for plugs in the back

yeah, maybe they leave a little room in the measurements, I'm not sure, but I now I just measured 15-1/2 plus if it was 16, my case would not have fit it, its bad enough how tight the case is because they added the 1/2 inch from the 800 to the 900

So at 14 inches deep without the bezel would require 8 rack spaces plus the extra room for the the connections.

How warm does the Djm-900 run to consider in placing in a tight fitting case?

not too crazy, The bottom was getting pretty warm so I installed a small us fan to vent the hot air out the bottom just to play it safe

Can anyone else with a DJM-900 confirm that the actual Width of the DJM-900 is 12.5 (12 1/2) inches and not 13 inches?

I'm just wondering why Marathon made a special case (model MA-DJM900) just for the DJM-900 and Odyssey recently modified their 12" case to make a bigger to hold a DJM-900 and well as all the Pioneer specs and manual say the DJM-900 is 13 inches wide.

its modified because it is bigger then the 800, not by much though but I guess enough to have to make a different case

and I hope they're not charging more for their "custom designed" 900 case because all you need to do is cut the foam a tiny bit on each side and its fine, it's exactly what I did when I went from the 800 to the 900, its a minimal increase

The DJM 900 is exatly 13" wide, I had to modify my new odessey case when i bought it because at the time Odessey UK didn't have a case to fit the 900 and the import costs from the US were stupid prices

but see, just modify the current case, don't buy a whole new one, such a waist of money
