Since there is no E-Mail adress for Pioneer can any of the officials on here give me any information on why this might of happened.
This mixer is been used in a club on a Friday & Saturday night like any usual club with DJs who respect the gear and do not treat it harsh. The previous club I worked in with the same DJs had a 800 which in 3 years not one fader snapped.
The outlandish problem I see is the cost not of the faders but of the fader caps which cost over £10 each!!! I am having to consider buying them because the snapped part of the fader is stuck in the fader cap and so the old ones cannot be used.
I feel like that this shouldn't be a problem as Pioneer make high quality gear which I have used for years and I am just a bit disappointed with the most expensive product I have bought from them yet.
I can send any photographs of the faders if required. Another note is that the new faders seem to be constructed using a different metal to the ones originally on the DJM 2000.

@Elliot > As the mixer is less than one year old I suggest you don't hesitate in returning the unit to where it was purchased for repair. I can't offer an explanation for the snapped faders apart from someone hitting something else off the unit or being a little over-enthusiastic using them however you have said that is not the case.
Please update us after you have contacted the repair centre.

We contacted the supplier (Batmink) who said faders were not covered under warranty, I also run up Pioneer Customer Services about this and they also stated that faders were not covered under warranty. So I purchased 3 faders (Channels 2, 3 & 4) and have fitted them but no fader caps because I will not pay over £10 each.
Are you saying the fader stem or fader cap is what broke?
Hi Pulse the fader stems have snapped leaving part of the stem wedged in the current fader caps and it cannot be taken out and so the fader caps cannot be re-used.

General use of a mixer typically does not result in a fader stem snapping, not even on the most abused -- the cross fader. If this was, indeed, abuse or user-negligence, it's not covered by warranty and you would have to pay for replacement parts or repairs yourself.
Thats what the guy on the phone said to me I stress that our DJs are of the highest profession and no negligence ever took place, only usual mixing and rarely over exuberance; the mixer is only used 2 nights a week and for 5 hours each night at most.
The fader stems snapped just above the faceplate with no other damage to the fader at all apart from the resnt of the stem been stuck in the caps, I still have the faders if you need photographic evidence, but something i did note is that the replacements we have bought seem to be constructed from a different metal on the stems.
If you've already got the faders, you should replace them -- note that the caps are removed Oreo cookie style, applied like a sandwich to the fader stem, they don't pull straight-up like conventional fader caps.
The fader caps aren't the locking 'P-Type' on a DJM-2000, they are conventional types and just pull off vertically.

Just done done a quick bit of research, the fader caps on the DJM-2000 were changed to the 'P-Type' locking ones on units manufactured after the end of June last year (serial number 5621 and onwards for UK models), so it just depends how old your mixer is.
The new locking type ones are actually cheaper as a spare part, so the original poster may want to look into getting these if they haven't already over the original one piece type.
