i think Pioneer mixers are the best.but the are only made for certain types of dj's,i love the pioneers quality,unable to find one that works for me.i am a dancehall dj (jamican)we use the mic a lot,i need a pioneer mixer that has autoducking on the mic,delay /echo also for mic.none of the other effects that comes whit it, we don't use it.but pioneer doesn't make it so i guess i have to settle for BEHRINGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!and thats why i say pioneers are selfish mixer.the only target mostly house dj's who use those effects.

ummmm, i may be confused here at what you want but I will say that their mixer do have a mic talkover "ducking" switch and you can route the effects like echo and delay to the mics. Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are talking about?
U are right there seems to be some confusion, there is talk over & there is auto ducking tell me which 1 of the pioneers has auto ducking
The 800, 900 and 2000 all have a "talkover" feature which ducks the audio, the 5000 has it as well but is adjustable.
I have a DJM700 and it works fine for mic talkover; it's automatic and an echo and delay can be assigned, I also have a behringer and that needs a button to be pressed to talkover. I don't know why you'd want a talkover for Dancehall though as the music level drops to much to me talkover is more a mobile DJ function or for a broadcast. However, each to their own style. The sound quality of the 700 is way better than my DDM4000 too. I'm not sure if you're based in the UK but a djm700 can be picked up new for under £700
BTW ain't things changed from the days when sounds had custom built slave, pre amps and efx boxes and decks from old radiograms : ). Depends on your age if you remember though, now I'm feeling old...lol

U think that is something that pioneer will put in there spicks,the auto docking that is )as for the mic delay/echo/reverb the behringer has a seperrate processor for that u din't have to use the same effect setup to to assign to mic.you can still use your effects on your mix & still have reverbs on your mic &yes I am a mobile DJ

@troyy > The 700, 800, 850, 900 and 2000 all have two modes for the mic - on and talk-over. There is no adjustments for all but the 2000, which allows you to adjust the threshold and talkover levels. The DJM5000 has 3 modes for the mic - on, talk-over and advanced talk-over. It has more control over talk-over function and the advanced mode gives the ability to keep the low and high frequencies and cuts more of the vocal range instead.
Spoke to 3 different reps from pioneer,none of their mixers have auto docking.it has talk over(auto docking) when active u talk on the mic music automaticly drops,when u stop music comes back to full range.so u can be away from your mixer & still use your mic system.

the mixers Pulse mentioned like the 800/850/200 etc... have "Talkover" which automatically lowers the music while you speak on the mic and when yo are done speaking the music returns to normal volume. A Pioneer rep that told you their mixers dont do this should not be reps OR you are misunderstanding something somewhere or want something different out of it that we are not understanding

When were you expecting auto-ducking to occur other than when using the mic? None of the mixers have a built-in limiter/compressor if that's what you were looking for.

The DJM5000 also has a separate effects section for the mic... and this isn't the Behringer site, so we're not discussing that product.
BRICHI what I am trying to find out is can u have your music playing step away from your mixer let's say in the crowd turn your mic on talk on it, music drop stop talking music comes back to full volume
Gotcha, that's what I figured you meant and yes that is what the "talk over" part of the mic switch is for, you have 3 settings, off, on, talk over.

right but that is different from what you want from mic talkover, I think you are confusing two totally different things that some mixers are capable of doing. according to that link you want 1 track to duck levels in another deck like mids or highs, that has nothing to do with talking on a mic. this is from one of the DJM manuals

1 Connect a microphone to the [MIC1] or [MIC2] terminal.

2 Set the [OFF, ON, TALK OVER] selector switch to [ON] or
[TALK OVER].

in other words, when you you talk into the mic, the song lowers automatically, whne you stop talking the song is back to normal gain.

Seen it in action,good to go. I guess the misunderstanding came from different terms on different mixers. Dennon & behringer calls it auto docking,pioneer still calls it talk over. Like the old mixers
