Ouput volume problem with my DJM 400 mixer

Hello, all I have searched these forums for an answer but I can't seem to find it, so time for me to ask. I purchased a DJM 400 and its in great condition. I have it set up right with the 2 numark tt500 turntables, and my laptop the problem seems to be after it leaves the mixer, I'm getting no real volume from my mixer thru my amp to my speakers.

I had a previous mixer and the volume output is fantastic. I have an american audio amplifier, it comes out sounding fine i just have the master and all volume gauges spiked and I can't get any real umph. I have it set up correctly through the amp I thought. I don't know im completely stumped and this is my last resort any and all help comes with great thanks.

Double check to make sure you are plugged in to the PHONO and not Line on the back of your mixer.

Use them without Serato to rule out the mixer being the issue.  Once you do, assuming it's not the mixer, then play around in Serato.  Sorry, I can't help with serato settings as I use Traktor.

@Frankie > Have you the input selector switch set to LINE on the top of the mixer too? I'd try swapping around cables as John mentions and perhaps leaving Serato out of the equation just to troubleshoot the different elements of your gear. It sounds more likely that its a configuration mishap however.
