Enough.
The MIDI resolution is 255, but in terms of audio, it's many more. I don't have an exact number, but if I had to guess based on a 16bit system, it would be 65,535 steps.
Hi. How many steps are there in the digital channel faders of the DJM-900?
For example
--a standard MIDI controller has 128 steps
--an analog fader has infinite steps
thanks

Can you please ask... I would like to know how many steps there are in the movement of DJM-900 channel fader when mixing audio. Thank you.
Just out of curiosity, why? What impact will this have?
Hello Gavin. Trying to decide whether its better to mix inside Ableton (with midi) or inside a DJM-900. Since digital mixing all sounds the same for the most part, it comes down to "feel" -- and the degree of precision with faders is a huge contributor to how something feels. I realize this is not a common question for Pioneer support.
Ok cool, thanks for the reply. We'll try to find this out for you.
...hopefully the engineers can answer this one as well

@jaynyc > From the engineer:
There are 1024 steps in the digital channel fader of DJM-900 when mixing audio.
