[SOLVED] Pioneer DJM-2000 Emitting Obnoxious Whining Noise.

Disclaimer: I read around the forum a bit, but I couldn't find an issue related to mine, so please excuse me if this is a repost.

My problem is with my Pioneer DJM-2000 mixer. I've had it only for a year now, but it's recently began to make a strange whining sound that I believe to be hardware related because it's being emitted constantly while on. I tried updating my firmware from 2.0 to 3.18, but the sound hasn't been effected. The mixer is in great condition, and rarely leaves my apartment, let alone its flight case.

PS. This sound is most certainly not coming from my speakers, headphones, or any other speaker as they aren't plugged into the mixer. Only the power source is plugged into the mixer as to power it.

@Justin > Are you saying the noise is emitting from the mixer itself rather than emitting a noise via the audio circuitry?

@Gavin The noise is most prominent from the back of the mixer. This leads me to believe that it is producing the sound. Also, the sound doesn't come out of the audio out channels, so that also supports my suspicions.

that sounds like a power supply problem to me, i haven't had that issue with the DJM specifically but i've had it in other hardware, is it like a high pitched, sort of clean, steady tone?

@Jean Yes, that describes the sound perfectly. I suppose I should try a new power supply before I take anymore dramatic steps then.

@Jean @Gavin Ok, so I replaced the power cord for the DJM, but the sound persists. HOWEVER, I did notice that when I physically rotate the mixer to where the back end of it (the end where all the inputs/outputs are) to the upright position that the sound completely stopped...This is starting to feel like a hardware issue.

@Gavin Agreed. Would you mind telling me where I could get more information about sending it in to Pioneer?
