Error 7001 after firmware 4.30 on cdj900

I recently updated both of my 900's to firmware 4.30, i followed all instructions and the players appeared to update as they should, after removing the usb stick, turning them off and then on again, after approx 30 seconds the error 7001 shows on the bottom section of the screen preventing me from seeing the track timing etc, apart from that and it not loading a cd everything else works just as it should, usb, link etc. I tried to reload the update several times on different usb sticks and from different computers, no luck. i called pioneer support and all they said is that it must be a corrupt file and they will need to be sent away for repair if i don't want to use them as they are, much to my annoyance as they are not in warranty and pioneer offered no financial support, what more can i do than download the firmware from pioneer and follow the instructions? Surely its a problem pioneers side and not mine! Does anyone have any suggestions at all??
