DJM 900 Nexus and Traktor sound crackles and eventually stops completely

Hey. I have the latest MBP 2.8 ghz, 16gb ram, 1 gb ssd drive. I have experienced more than a couple of disasters when i use TRAKTOR with a DJM 900 nexus mixer. First i had yosemite and traktor 2.7.1, there were unnecessary high cpu loads and the sound was crackling and clipping all over. I then downgraded to Mavericks and traktor 2.7, cpu load stable, crackles and clipping for 30 mins until the sound eventually was fully distorted and stopped. Mind you have wifi off, all my energy saving preference are off.  Please help, this is not goo at all :(

De same problems overhere with Apple High Sierra 10.13.6 , Traktor Pro 2.11.2.11 and a Pioneer DJM900NSX

After searching a lot of forums I could tackle this problem with the following modifications:

Don't use powered hubs to connect your mixer to your laptop but use a good 2.0 USB cable straight from your mixer to the USB port of your laptop.

Connect your cd players and other equipment through a unpowered hub with your USB port of your laptop.

Update all the drivers of Pioneer Settings Utlity, in case of the DJM900NXS and OS High Sierra, it's the 1.4.1 driver from Pioneer. (In the tab it still shows 1.4.0...)

Update your mixer.. DJM900NXS to version 1.32

Set your Audio settings in Traktor to 48.000Khz and 512 latency

Hope this works also for you!
