DJM 2000 NEXUS - XLR Problems?

Hello all, please can you help

I am running 2 Actice speakers from my XLR out puts on my DJM 2000.  All has been fine for the best part of a year then i stripped the equipment to take it to a gig and when i plugged them in there is only very feint sounds coming out the speakers,  i then plugged the outputs in from the booth and there fine.  any ideas??
