DJM 2000NXS Fader Start Issue

DJM 2000NXS(V 3.20) with 2x CDJ 2000NXS(V 1.21)

Fader Start on Player 2 doesn't operate with the cross fader, Link cables plugged into mixer on LAN port 1 (Player 1) and LAN port 2 (Player 2) I have enabled the fader start within the menu for links 1 and 2 it shows in the display (FS 1-2) but only player 1 starts when the cross fader is moved.

Player 1 Audio is plugged into Ch 1 (Fader A assigned) and Player 2 Audio plugged into Ch4 (Fader B assigned)

When fader is on A side (left) and moved towards center, Player 1 starts. Cool, as it should.

When fader is on B side (right) and moved towards center, Nothing…..

Now here is the bit messing with my now fragile mind, if I raise the Ch2 line level Player 2 starts!

On top of this if I do start it with Ch 2 line fader the on air light doesn't work either, I’m sure this is to upset me just that little bit more.

Assistance would be appreciated.

Mick

@Mick > The problem is you need to have the audio connected to the same channel as the player assignment number and port connection. So if you want to use channel 4, you need to manually assign the player on the right to be player 4 (or have it done automatically), connect the LINK cable to the #4 port, and audio to channel 4.

I changed the ports and player designations and it seems to be working solid with RB.

Also since changing this, the CDJ hasn’t played up as I posted here-

Could this have also caused loop issues as I described?

I can understand the auto cue not functioning properly with crossed ports, channels and player assignments mixed.

Also what I have noticed is that the “traffic light” function works with RB when used through the 2000.

When I asked this question previously I was using the 850-K with a Hub.

So now the only let down now, was the response to that post.

I’m appreciative for your assistance Pulse, much appreciated.
