[SOLVED] DJM-900 nexus + Yosemite issue

Hi at all,

I've an issue using the DJM-900 as USB audio device after updating from Mavericks to Yosemite.

The DJM-900 is listed in the soundsettings menu and even the "DJM-900nexus Setting Utility"-Application shows that the device is connected,

but as soon as I hit the play-button (in iTunes or any other player) the music doesn't start. The time label remains at 0:00.

I installed the latest driver (1.3) and the latest firmware (1.310) as well but I it doesn't work. I tried it even on two different computers (MBP, MacPro) without success.

I hope anyone has a solution for that. Otherwise I've to return to mavericks :(

Thanks in advance

Have you checked that your sample rate for the device match the intended output? Go to Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup, open the Audio Devices window, find the DJM-900nexus and check what sample rate is in the box.

Thank you for the fast support. Unfortunatelly it doesn't work with any sample rate (44100, 48000, 96000 Hz). Btw I noticed that all volume sliders (channel 1-8) are grayed out. I also tried all combinations in submenu "Configure Speakers" without success.

I guess I assumed you had already checked these basics, but let's try anyhow...

Ensure that you have your mixer channels set to USB on the hardware, then verify that the Setting Utility shows the same:

Set the System Preferences > Sounds > Output tab to your DJM:

I absolutely no idea what happened but it works. That is crazy! I installed Yosemite 10.10.3 on a small test partition on my MacBook with the latest driver and it works! Switched to my Mac Pro and it works as well! Yehaaw :D
