Just curious, has anyone ever DJed an honest to goodness rave? Not simply a club playing underground music, but a group that's broken into a warehouse, spread the word by mouth, hardcore drugs, etc... Just kind of wondering if they even go on anymore.

Yep, ages ago, but the event promoters got smart and started holding them more legitimately; renting the warehouse, hiring security, etc. Nobody wants to lose a ton of money because the cops show up and tell them shut down -- or worse, arrest them.
Yes what Pulse said. Promoters these days have the required permits but still promote it as "underground" and make it seem like it is just so the kids think its cool and go.
When it's a illegal rave it gets shut down faster than you can switch and setup Serato from CDJs. No wait, faster than that.
