So the desk has arrived but I'm still waiting for the RMX stand. The first one was made from glued pieces instead of a one piece heat bent stand. Hopefully it should be here by the weekend. Although the wife has decided to get the decorators in so all my kit is packed away to keep it safe from all the dust flying around, it's been two weeks since I last practiced can't wait to get my things set back up.
Custom built DJ stand with RMX stand
Here are some pictures of my new soon to be delivered consol with a RMX stand. The stand isn't in these shots but it should be delivered on Monday so I'll show the complete stand soon after. It has has power inlets via a Neutrik Powercon connection and XLR outputs on the legs, the RMX stand is a heat bent Perspex custom design as per request. I managed to get a deal that what unbelievable and the additions I wanted were all added free of charge.
Anyone interested can place orders at http://www.urbanhaus.co/

I've also managed to secure a 10% discount for anyone who's interested in ordering one. If you contact the company ask for Andy and tell him Simon told you about the desk. The cost of the desk to my spec was £500 including the RMX stand and connectors. The connectors need to be wired but that not a problem. Delivery cost are extra but Andy delivered mine personally from Wales to Yorkshire. It's surprisingly light too, to the extent I'm considering using for my mobile gigs
Looks good in a fixed home setting - pretty sure you'd damage it during transport (I know I'm fired my own stand into the back of my car some nights when its particularly late).
I've down sized my mobile set up for easier transport and use a Galaxy for transport. So with my current kit it should be good to pack. I'm considering making some custom padded covers though just to protect the paint work
Yeah, I can't tell you how many scratches I've had to fix on my stand (home made with plywood).
