HDJ-HC01 (Case for HDJ-2000s)

Got the email this morning about the HDJ-2000-K (black chrome) and the new carrying case, the HDJ-HC01.  Any word on where one can purchase this new case?  Would love to grab one ASAP!

@cdjbasile > Never had the 1000s so not really sure but I did not think they turned like that.

The only thing I could see about the 1000's are that the cable is permanent and may bend a bit when the headphones are in the case, but they do fold flat, so it should work.

Hey Gents… So, I finally got a chance to pick up the case (HDJ-HC01) for the HDJ-2000 headphones.  Well, I've run into a small problem:  it seems that the case is designed to accommodate the headphones only with the cord disconnected.  Unfortunately, since the very first time I connected the mini-XLR to the headphones, I've been unable to disconnect it.  I've never tried too hard, since it wasn't necessary and also since I'd heard of others having problems with drop-outs due to stress in that area.

Any ideas?  FYI, when I push in the little button (which I presume is meant to release the connection), nothing happens.  There's no click, no sound, and apparently no loosening of the connection.  I've been erring on the side of caution so far.  Do I just need to give it some elbow grease, or do you think something is broken—or jammed (Lone Star, maybe?)

Cheers… Warth

@Warth > Give it a bit of "elbow grease" as you mentioned. The connection is solid, and takes a bit to get use to. There isn't anything wrong with your headphones. :)

I wanted one of these cases, but I won't be buying one now.  I can't see the point in having to continually remove the cord, especially as it is so difficult to remove it.  The cord, connector or even headphones are bound to suffer eventually.

I remove my cord every time I'm done with my headphones and never found it to be a problem.  It's a mini-XLR cable!

Has anyone found a case for HDJ-2000 that you don't have to remove the cord?

There won't be a specific pioneer case however some of the soft pioneer bags might fit them in but won't off the same protection as this headphone case.

The new HDJ2000s MK 2 come with a hard case included!
