[CLOSED] HDJ-2000 breaking down.

I'm past the warranty, and the extended warranty. I have two pairs of this, one white, and one silver. The silver one is the faulty one. It began when the left cup stopped working except it mono. I changed the cable and it was fine, however a few days later the right cup stopped working. It was not the cable this time. Looks like somewhere between the band and the right cup, there is a loss in connection and may need a new wire.

From my research in this forum, I feel like no one has found a service center that will repair these headphones. I bought them when they were $350. Has anyone at all found a service center that will repair this headphone? If not, I'm planning on taking it apart. Might as well since they're not working correctly. Maybe even use it to be cannibalized for parts when the white ones start acting up. But honestly, I don't want to use the white ones often for obvious reasons.

Also, in reply to Gavin in a post that has be closed, in Des Moines, Iowa, you can find me at Joker's, West Cab, and Lime Lounge.

Also note, this silver one is my SECOND silver pair. The first one broke at the plastic headband on the left side. I know they were designed to to be indestructible being mostly metal design, but the headband should have been made metal as well. I think for the next versions, a no plastic design, with more rugged internal wiring would be a needed improvement.

Sorry to hear about that - unfortunately the only place that might repair them would be Pioneer proper; use the technical support contacts to the right of the page for further assistance with this one.
