From day one i'm getting the same error
The only thing we can do is wait :(
Lucky for me , I have a extra laptop that won't give me the error...
I tried to connected my rmx-1000 first to my laptop and i got the error message " The Rmx1000 is already being used with a different apllication. Data cannot be transferred until the midi device is released. " So I then tried to connect it to my desktop which is also windows 7 and still got the same error. Please help someone! I am unable to change the parameters in the software until i clear this error. I am unable to sync.
windows 7 64bit
I spoke with Gill at support and he took down my info and said a engineer would call me back....so far no answer.

Guys, some questions / feedback from the engineers:
First, please try to reboot both your computer and RMX-1000 when you have this issue.
Most issues will be resolved by this measure. If you cannot sync even after rebooting both the computer and RMX-1000, please check the following things.
・Is other any MIDI application launched other than remixbox?
・Is there any MIDI application included in the Startup programs in [All Programs] of Windows 7?[The reason and solution of this issue]
The error message [The RMX-1000 is already being used with a different application] appears when a MIDI device is used by other application before remixbox is launched.
Therefore, if you close the application which uses the MIDI device of RMX-1000, this problem would be solved.
Any update anyone? Still having these issues?
yes gav, still the same problem
there is NO MIDI application launched other than remixbox
and there is NO MIDI application included in the Startup programs
I will post you with some more details in the next days
@TheOne > Do your issues here still persist?
@ Gav , thanks for asking. Yes, I still have the issue....
I will post some screen shots tomorrow....
Ok, I made some screens of 2 different computers which both are running Win 7 X64.
It seems that there is something wrong with the installation of the RMX.
the installation will be automatically done by windows... still it is different on my 2 computers.
If I go to device management on the WORKING computer , I can see that the rmx is installed as PIONEER RMX-1000 MIDI
on the NOT working computer the rmx is installed as USB-AUDIO DEVICE. (note : on the screenshot the rmx was connected trough a usb hub, connected directly to a usb port doesn't make a diffirence)
I also checked all the services and processes that are running... didn't find anything that is midi or even music related. also on start up there are no programs running.
I made screens of :
Installation of the rmx on both pc's
Properties of USB-AUDIO DEVICE on the not working pc ( working pc displays RMX 100 midi as explained above)
Running services and processes of the NOT working pc
Let me know if something isn't clear.
Hope you can do something with this info.
Thanks for looking at it!

Engineers found a possible cause of this issue as follows:
..................................................................
When Service Pack 1 has not been installed on your Windows7 PC, some of the MIDI communication does not work to Sync with RMX-1000.
When the PC does not have an Internet access or, even if it has an Internet access, Windows Update setting is changed to “manual update” instead of “automatic update,” Service Pack 1 is not automatically installed, which could cause this issue.
Please ensure that Service Pack 1 has been installed on your PC.
