I'm having major issues with recording automation in Ableton 8. Only some actions are being recorded, for example if I start with a scene FX any following isolator / cut/add etc. will not be recorded. The Release FX also behaves really strange... I tried to get help here on the forums a few months ago but that post was not followed up on, can you maybe help me out? It's really frustrating that the automation doesn't work.

Follow[CLOSED] Rmx 1000 Ableton 9 automation issues
in ableton 8 it works like a charm. been on ableton 9 since it released and this issue is not going away. the FX buttons dont get put into automation. automation is armed all of those steps are covered. the scene knob and isolate knobs work like a charm. but the fx buttons dont record. sometimes they do and all they insert is a dot into the automation bay. sometimes if you mash them on and off 7-15 times you might get a reaction in the automation lane. the plugin does react and plays back the effect every time. this is all automation recording based. this is similar to an issue the unit had when first released with logic 9 @pulse if you remember maybe you can reference for whatever you guys did to fix that. id love to keep using ableton 8 but the features in 9 are to game changer to be sacrificing a version release to be able to use this thing
P.S. i just tested mouse clicks and same issue you cant even get it to record automation to the FX buttons by clicking only the scene volume records and the isolate volume knobs

@Henrik > I see you have asked the same question in a couple of places so if you don't mind, I'm going to use this thread to address @Boris' question, okay?
@Boris > What version of the plugin and what version of the firmware are you running?
Guys, any follow up?
So, I chip in again. Running the latest versions of plugin and firmware, gave up months ago trying to get the automation to work. It's simply is broken. A few operations might function properly but as soon as you start doing real work on the RMX1000 the result is, to put it mildly, not satisfying. And as soon as you touch the "break lever" the unit is locked up. I'm moving on, will not try to use my RMX 1000 with Ableton Live again.
