Problem with CDJ-400 playing back 320kbps mp3 tracks from Integral USB stick

Hi,

I am having issues with playing back 320 kbps mp3 tracks from an Integral USB stick (16gb) on my CDJ-400, it plays for the first few seconds and then keeps skipping (pausing). I have tried 192 kbps tracks and they work fine and also tried to convert the 320 kbps tracks to CBR, even though I wasn't sure if they were VBR in the first place, and the same happens. I have the latest firmware update and the USB stick is FAT32 formatted. Can any one help with this ?

Try re-coding the MP3 to a wave file; it could be the version of the encoder you're using is defective and is actually producing a 319k file (a couple of versions of the LAME encoder did this by mistake), it looks like 320k but will have these kinds of problems.  Try another program to re-encode back to 320k.

I am not sure if this problem as I have noticed if I play the same track using my HTC Desire through USB Disk Mode then the track does not skip so I assume the problem lies with the Integral USB sticks ?

I've always found Integral sticks to be a cheap option - I'd buy some decent quality sticks such as Corsair or OCZ.
