@Francesco > The SEP-C1 is fully MIDI capable and can be controlled in Traktor 2 and should also show the display like on the CDJ-400's. The only thing is, I don't believe the CDJ-400's have a preset .tsi file in Traktor 2 since they are older. I would think the SEP-C1 should have a .tsi file in Traktor 2, but if it doesn't, you would need to create one yourself.

Thanks,

Foster

@george > It's been a while since I used it, but if I recall, the answer is yes.  (I'll drag mine out to confirm it.)  Be aware, however, that you will require an audio interface to use for audio output.

Okay, i got it out, set it up with 1.2.8 (Pro) and it worked just fine.  You need to connect ONLY the SEP portion (can't connect the MEP deck unit) but when you set it up within the hardware setup, it's the MEP-7000 that you select as your hardware controller.

Cause someone else told me that the maps betwin sep and traktor are bad and it doesn't work. I'll buy it then. What's the differnce betwin HID and MIDI ? Thanks for your time Pulse

Layman's terms: HID is like HD TV vs. MIDI as standard-def.  You get more signal, quicker, and with better 2-way communication than MIDI.

@george > Yupp, feel free to ask away on the forums. It's also best to start a new thread for different topics and if you have questions in the future. ;)

Enjoy your new toy when you get it. :)

I am having a Major Problem trying to get my Mep 7000 to work in Traktor. I did everything as required but still no dice.  It works in my older Laptop but this is a brand new one I bought this week. Windows 7. What is the Detailed procedure?  I downloaded the Drivers for the MEP and Installed them. Then I tried to use the Install Wizard and it won't allow me to check off any of the Options in the tsi file.  What am I doing wrong?

BTW this is a new Version of Traktor Pro 2 that I downloaded and activated yesterday

The Setup Wizard in Traktor selects the MEP (as opposed to the SEP) and should work without any other configuration from Traktor's settings.

I got it to work by exporting the .tsi file from my old laptop to the new one. I still have to figure out how to get the Elapsed Time, BPM and Tempo to show on the Mep 7000 screen.

On the Pioneer MEP the "Remaining Time", "Tempo" and "BPM" are not showing. What do I have to do to map those in for the two/four Decks? I am using Traktor Pro 2  Everything else seems to work.

Some information doesn't get sent to the display, I'll have to get mine out again and set it up to verify for you.

Okay, took a look... the Tempo (the current pitch) and current adjusted BPM are shown in the player display, the track BPM is shown in the main display.  Remaining time isn't an option and I couldn't see within the mapper where that could be configured.

I didn't import any TSI's, I just ran the setup wizard (v2.1.3) and selected the MEP7000 as my controller.

OK Thanks I will reset it like you suggest and see what happens.  In the Meantime I will save my current settings.

@Shefton > I used my MEP with Traktor 2.5 and was able to scratch -- did you press the jog mode button?

Have you re-run the setup wizard (you may want to export your settings to a TSI file first)?

I have re-run setup wizard many times but 1 thing i find strange is that whenever i tried export my tsi files,i cannot check any of the options.I have a genuine traktor licence so i guess i'm doing something wrong why i'm having all this trouble.

I'm seriously thinking on upgrading to the cdj 900.

I believe you have to Import the TSI file not export it. By importing it, all the settings are put in place for you.  If you make any changes, then save and export that new tsi file for future reference.
