I have a pair of CDJ-800s (MK1). I have owned them 6+ years.
Recently I have noticed one of them will randomly stop while playing a CD. All buttons will become useless/frozen when this happens. Tonight it happened to me 3 times. 3 different messages appeared (error messages I assume - listed below).
I have found when this happens I need to power the CDJ down for it to work again. Can you provide any insight as to what is happening here? Thanks.

@bunchlox > Have you ever had the units serviced in the time you have had them? Its entirely possible they need a tune up to get back in perfect working order again. Can you replicate the issue on command e.g. with the same track / disc etc or does it seemingly happen at random?
It does appear to be completely random. As I mentioned above, last night I used for a few hours and it happened 3 times. Today I was playing on them for a few hours and it didn't happen at all.
No, I have not had them serviced at all since I have owned them. What all is involved in a CDJ tuneup? And how often should this be done?
@bunchlox > And do you notice it happening with CDs you burn yourself or CDs bought in-store (i.e. commercially pressed CDs)? If you burn CDs yourself, tell me about your settings / where you acquire your audio tracks from etc.
Yes, I would recommend a service just to clean things up, laser re-alignment etc - for more information I recommend you contact technical support to find a service centre in your area and they'll be able to talk you about what they do during servicing.
