Echo not working. Please help

Hello, I just got my DJM 400 and I wanted to try it out...

I accidently plugged my laptop into PHONO / Line plugs and it made quite alot noise for like 1 sec but I turned it down immediately. (Power off)

After I read manual I plugged my laptop into CD input and tried how it works but I figured Echo effect isn't working. Did I maybe accidently burnt echo down while plugging into PHONO / Line inputs or?

Note that everything else is working, all other effects, eq's everything else... Please help.

Sry for repost. I didn't see that DJM Mixers is for the newer mixers only... My apologies

You wouldn't have "burned out" anything with the high signal level.  Have you selected the correct channel and turned up the effect volume (to 12 o'clock) and then pressed the effect on/off button?

Hello, sry for long time no answer. After I got my CDJ I spent hours and hours mixing :) Echo is working perfectly, cdj aswell.

Thank you Pioneer for these products, really can't imagine buying anything else for djing except pioneer :)

BTW Do you think that 800€ for 2x CDJ2000 & DJM2000 is scam?

800 not 8000.

@Josip > Thanks for letting us know you got everything working perfectly.

There's a saying that goes if something is too good to be true, then it probably is. That would seem to apply very much so in this situation. Please only buy from a reputable dealer / source.
