[SOLVED] CDJ-400 firmware upgrade

Hey all,

Was attempting to update firmware on a set of my CDJ-400's and I put a usb stick with the firmware loaded in the usb slot and pressed the two required buttons and powered up the unit. The screen said download and I assumed it was downloading but the cd drive was clicking for a little over a minute before I shut it off then realized what I had done. Live and learn I guess, problem I'm having is that I'm thinking I've done some irreparable damage to the unit. Disks still eject and load fine, I noticed that my other CDJ-400 ejects a bit quieter, so I don't know if I did do some major damage or not. Not having much luck on the forums with responses, I guess most have moved on from the CDJ-400 :( Fingers crossed someone else can chime in.

@Jagaloon > So the CDJ still performs normally but the CD pickup just makes noise?

Gavin,

Sincerely apologize I did not get a post notification till today. It was my fault that I had the USB stick inserted BEFORE I selected the firmware upload sequence and that in turn resulted in the cd drive ejecting repeatedly. I've since stopped overanalyzing minor variations in both players load and eject noises as both load and eject fine, one unit is now a bit louder now because of the above mistake.

Thanks for taking the time to get back to me and again, I apologize for not responding to your reply faster.
