yup, search is still buggy, Had the same issue but fortunately it hasn't crashed live yet, knock on wood. The search engine is very poor in RB, I have been complaining about it for 2 years, lol

RekordBox Crash During Live Gig
Im Still Using 1.5.3,
3 hours into my set. i tried to search for a tune, when typing the name, 4 characters in, RB Freezes, then shuts down. asking if i want to send error report, i don't touch anything and quickly grab a c.d. (Music is still playing on deck 2 via RB. Waveform still present but no info) I have C.d cued (deck1) And ready, for the inevitable. a minute or so later during the break down total silence.
Slam C.d On.
Whilst c.d is playing, i open RB and try to re establish the LINK. Link button is there and when pressed the icon panel appears but with no Cdj Icons.
i remove power lead from ethernet switch and try again Link Button present but still no cdj icons.
Next step i did is Turn off cdj 2 and close RB and remove ethernet lead from macbook. when everything powered back up i could establish the LINK.
Luckily because of the threads i have read on here regarding RB, i had c.d's and back up flash drives for this situation.
I tried to remember everything as clear as possible to tell you guys.
Im using 5month old macbook pro with cdj 2000's net gear 1000mbps switch

Im not going to use prolink again its too risky. Usb sticks from now on.
Question : how stable is traktor?

@Greg > Did you create an error-report? It's a bit tough to diagnose without a proper log of the network traffic.

Trakor has its own problems too and just as bad sometimes. I also wouldnt use trakor until Native instruments finally add Advanced HID as you will have issues changing from default Advanced HID to Standard HID on the player with trakor connected (traktor will freeze). I also would love to use rekordbox at a gig but feel its way to unstable at the moment and USBs are rock solid.

Hi Pulse, i don't think i did send error report (memory a bit hazy, as i was in a bit of a panic.), and i wanted to try and get it up and running asap.
Music is on hard drive of my mac. not external.

@Greg > If you're able to replicate this setup outside of a live event and test it to see if you can replicate the problem (hopefully with the same tracks, if you recall what you were playing) that would certainly help.
