So far I have had MAJOR ISSUEs connecting ANY Anderoid devise to the 2000nexus. Everytime time I plug my Toshiba with Andriod 4.0 AT300 model, nothing happens!!
It DOESNT CHARGE
It detects the USB .. I click on the "Connected as a media devise" Icon ... I then goto storage settings ...
Again, make sure the devise is connected as a "MTP" ** THERE IS NO OPTION FOR MSC MODE ON ANDROID 4.0 ... So I leave it in MTP mode ...
I then option RB Android ... it loads
I then press the "load" with the CDJ icon ... it says " ... cant find !!!
== >> Serious problems with the APP, the iphone plugs straight in!! Its wierd

Ive tried this on 2 Tablets now
The Toshiba AT300 ...
And the Samsung Note 10.1
The Samsung goes into *MTP Application mode"
And FREEZES on "Synchronizing" ... I cant get access back into the tablet unless I disconnect the tablet.
There is a MTP issue with 4.0 Icecream.
At leased the Toshiba didnt crash.
The Samsung also is not charging.

It works with my Samsung Tab 10.1 and Android Nexus S. neither are rooted, running latest OS.
Not sure how you go into MTP application mode.
What exact steps are you doing before getting that error?

Painless, are you using them by WIFI connection or plugged through the USB ?
MTP works when you plug an Android into a PC or in our case "CDJ"
If you use it via WIFI then there might be a chance it would work but I want to connec t ... to have the USB charge it .... and to use the devise with an SD card in it ... mostof the Anderiod I tried didnt charge and didnt work ion MTP mode

The Samsung Note cannot be used via USB-wired connection to CDJ-2000nexus due to their specification -- the device switches to a synchronization mode and it prevents rekordbox from connecting to the CDJ-2000nexus.
Regarding Toshiba device, Pioneer does not have the exact device for testing and therefore can't reproduce the problem or tell why it's doing what it is.
Generally speaking, there are some devices with specific dependencies based on make, model, OS version, and/or its own specifications / customization. Unfortunately as a result of this, Pioneer does not guarantee the operation of rekordbox on all smartphones and/or tablets.

The Toshiba works ASLONG as its connected to a WIFi signal
It doesnt charge ... infact ive found NO TABLETS (other than an Ipad that actually charges)
Though the "having to be connected via WIFI is very Odd ... it should just work

rekordbox app is not working on XPERIA ZL2. just saying "Failed to initialize" and close down.
