Yes it would be fine but it might confuse a bit. I'd recommend getting a second drive and at least then you'd avoid any confusion AND have a backup.

Using an external hard drive for rekordbox
Hi,
I normally use my Macbook Pro with my CDJ 2000's on live gigs, however just for home use I wanted to use an external hard drive. Currently I have a backup hard drive which consists all music files from my MacBook Pro.
Would it be ok to use the same hard drive to load all my playlists from Rekord Box to then plug directly into my CDJS and link them?
