RB 2.0.1 Beatgrid and quantized loops are not on the beat

Hi,

Recordbox needs to get a bugfix regarding the beatgrid and quantized loops!

It doesn’t matter if you try to correct the beatgrid in the beginning of the song because then it’s out of beat sync in the end. Ive been analyzing the mp3´s over and over again and cannot get it right. This bug appeared when I updated to RB 2.0.1 and this is messing up my performance, if I wanted to play without wave form, no beatgrid and without all the advantaged related to the beatgrid I could go back to the 1000mk3. My gear is: 2 CDJ-2000 Nexus, DJM-900 Nexus, using USB, mp3 comes most of Beatport and are all analyzed in RB and was ALL FINE before RB version 2.0.1

Here are some more comments from other users but in other forums:

  • It seems this problem only effects tracks anaylised with rekordbox 2.0.1 all other tracks in my archive analysed by previous versions of rekordbox do no drift......
  • I have CDJ 2000 Nexus and experience Loop drift. I'm using Rekordbox 2.0.1 so this could be the cause.
  •  since the update of either Rekordbox 2.0.1 or the firmware 4.20 loops are now unusable, keep going out on tracks that used to stay in!!

Are you looking into this or what’s going on?

Taang

CDJ2000 FW 4.20 + Rekordbox 2.0.1 = Unusable

CDJ2000 FW 4.20 + Rekordbox 1.6.2 = NO DRIFTING LOOPS ! (I just reanalyzed my tracks)

Somebody confirm that ?

yes this is the case....I confirmed earlier in the cdj-2000 mk1 loops thread.

Have you got the 1.6.2 setup by any chance?? :))

I copied recordbox from a older timemaschine backup. Don't have a setup :-(

Have only the "recordbox 1.6.2. app" for the mac.

Do you would have this version ?

I have 2 serials mate. dont worry about that...

Ok last form. Was trying to find out the file that contain the serial and opening my laptop directory I found out it still has Rekordbox 1.6.2 and also 1.5.3. Do I just uninstall the 2.0.1 and reanalize all my tracks? Would it fix it back? Or I don't have to do anything???? I am confused now.. I didnt even know older files were still there. Are the older analisis files still in there also? I am kind of lost now lol...

Btw anybody that wants the files just email me. At this point I dont mind sending them to a mate here if it helps fixing the problem...

@Steve> hey mate, the serial is not in your dmg file so we should be able to use your file with our license key, would you find attaching it here?

I said i found the directories of the older instalations with the files...  not the installer. The only installer I found on my laptop was the 1.5.2.7... sorry if I made you guys misunderstand what I meant to say

I just need to uninstall 2.0.1 and reanalize the tracks, fix grid and check my cues and preset loops (lol only) right? Is that it?

TO FIX DRIFTING LOOPS !

  1. It doesn't mater which cdj2000 fw you use (4.10, 4.20 ...) It's a rekordbox problem.

  2. Tracks which analyzed in rb 2.0.1 are broken.

  3. Uninstall rb 2.0.1. and delete the library.

  4. Install a older version of rb. (1.6.2 works fine for me)

  5. Add tracks an analyze them.

  6. Play tracks on cdj2000 without drifting... :-)

You're better off calling support number for your area and complaining.
