Can Rekordbox write to mp3 tags?

So a simple question for Rekordbox users and Pioneer forum mods: can Rekordbox write to MP3 tags?  I've read the manual and there is no information.  I've searched the forum no answers. I understand the Rekordbox database and exporting function. As far as I can see exporting does not update any of the MP3 tag fields. It writes to the the Rekordbox database. For example if I analyze the key of a track in Rekordbox the MP3 tag key field is not updated in the original or exported mp3 file.

If anyone understands how Rekordbox handles ID3 tags please enlighten me. Thanks!

Rekordbox does update most of the metadata (ID3 Tag) of mp3 files... mainly the text items get changed in rekordbox, and changed in the mp3 file itself. However I know for a fact artwork doesn't get added to the files if you add it through rekordbox (get Audio Shell or MP3Tag if you wanna do that to a big number of files- they're both free). Personally I fix all metadata/ID3 (comments, album, artist, genre..etc) on either Audio Shell or MP3Tag before adding tracks to my collection... 

As for the Key, the current version of rekordbox doesn't write the key into the mp3file itself, but we have requested it as a feature to be added.

Thanks for the info very helpful. I was hoping to use just Rekordbox in my workflow.

I guess I'll have to use other software to key my music.

Is there someone who has a list of fields which are saved?  (this will save me some time :P )

Then I'll just copy the data which I need in the Tag to a field which is being saved :-). I'm planning to use the MP3 Tags for exchanging info with my fellow DJ's (who prepare sets at home).

I have added info about title, artist, genre, language, artwork etc to all my MP3 files using MP3tag.
Will rekordbox mess up this if I want it to add like the BPM?
