Segue, rather than mix - is this possible? This is a long read.

I've been a long-time Pioneer user that's finished working nightclubs, and moved on to the rather tamer waters of mobile DJing.

Having used CDJ500s mkI and mkII and CDJ1000s (all 3 flavours), as well as the CMX5000 (lovely machine that would play absolutely anything including discs formatted to 96 minutes) and CMX3000; and also the DJM 600, 800 and 3000 - I now find myself with an MEP7000 controller/player and a DJM5000 mixer ad I've been usig these for a few years now.

When I first bought my latest set I was quite excited by the possibility of controlling the computer from the MEP7000, but it never seemed to do what I wanted it to do, and I've slumped back to using a Hard Drive in the back of the MEP (and the USB slot on the front)and my very elderly BPMStudio software on the computer; Rekordox is installed on my computer but never used.

My major problem was the insistence of the Rekordbox of "bpm mixing" everything that it came to. I have many playlists that I've evolved over time comsisting of background (or foreground) music in set orders which require nothing but a simple crossfade from one track to another with no tempo adjustment; I can do this fine in my old BPMStudio program which has even hasan adjustment for the crossfade length.    If I could find a way of linking my MEP to that program life would be a breeze.

It may be that there is now a way of switching off the tempo mixing that I don't want, or it may even have always been there but I didn't look hard enough.

Perhaps one of the Pioneer gurus, or long-time users here can help me with this - it reallu is time that I got myself into the 21st century.

cheers
