@HansLynnerup can you please send me your XML file so I can send it to the engineers. Thank you
Hi
With the new iTunes 12 I can't import newly added tracks from iTunes into RekordBox. I have tried to import in various ways, and nothing works. The 'track' is imported with the iTunes meta-data but RekordBox can't find the musicfile.
I'm using .wav-files, so I have to import the files via iTunes, to have the metadata from iTunes loaded into RekordBox. I can't just add the .vaw-file directly into RekordBox, as I would miss the metadata.
I have been trying to solve the problem, digging into a lot of different scenarios and investigations. The only thing I can come up with is that the new iTunes 12 have changed the layout of the library XML file and RekordBox now can't understand it.
Before iTunes 12 the location of the musicfile in the XML is:
<key>Location</key><string>file://localhost/Volumes/MUSIK/Musikfiler/Musik/.....
With iTunes 12 the location of the musicfile in the XML is:
<key>Location</key><string>file:///Volumes/MUSIK/iTunes/....
My guess is that RekordBox can't resolve this changed way of telling the location of the musicfile. But maybe it's my setup that gives the problem?
Has anyone else seen this problem? Or can anyone confirm that RekordBox has a problem with the new iTunes 12?
My setup:
Running on Mac
Al my musicfiles, iTunes database and RekordBox analysefiles are located on an external HDD named MUSIC. The HDD is formatted in Mac-format.
I have tried with both RekordBox 3.0.2 and the former RekordBox 2. The problem is in both...
I have tried running on the Yosemite and the former OS X.
By the way. Traktor can still read the location in the XML file from the new iTunes 12.
Best regards,
Hans

I have just installed RekordBox 3.0.3. I dont know if this made the difference, but now RB is able to find the newly added musicfiles. Do you still want me to send some kind of XML file.
Here is a bit of the XML file showing an old addition to iTunes:
<key>Location</key><string>file://localhost/Volumes/MUSIK/Musikfiler/Download/2014/iTunes/01%20Million.m4a</string>
A new addition to iTunes now looks like this:
<key>Location</key><string>file:///Volumes/MUSIK/iTunes/iTunes%20Media/Music/Dollar/The%20Very%20Best%20of%20Dollar%20(Re-Recorded%20Versions)/09%20Oh%20l'amour%20(Re-Recorded).m4a</string>
Best regards,
Hans
Sweet, glad it's working.
For others seeking an answer, the problem was rekordbox 3.x and iTunes 12. Updating to rekordbox 3.0.3 addressed the issue discovered with the changes to iTunes 12.
