Using ipod as main storage device with rekordbox

I have a feeling im either over thinking this and its easy or its just not possible.

I wish to use an ipod touch to store some tracks on - generally when plugged into a cdj2000 (non nexus) it displays the database but no rekordbox data as it hasnt been analyzed.

Can i analyse the tracks on the ipod? I dont have nexus players but all the tools seem to be there to put all the rekordbox data onto my tracks. I dont want to have to make playlists to do this as i have playlists for other things already but id love to be able to analyze what is currently sat in my complete itunes database

Would this ipod rekordbox app do this or would i do it on the pc and export?

you can add the app to the iPod and do what you want on it BUT you need the Nexus decks to take advantage of using it live as a source for your music

Thats kind of irritating. I'm not going to drop another + 3k on new decks :(

I'll maybe just stick to the way i been using it previously

If you have the ability to use your iPod as a storage device, the CDJs would read it as a hard drive -- so yes, you could use it for rekordbox export, but those tracks wouldn't be available to the iPod for conventional playback as they're within the "drive" portion of the device.
