Trouble with moving database from old MacBook to new MacBook Pro

Dear Pulse,

Yesterday I wrote that I had solved my problem of migrating my old database from old MacBook to new MacBook Pro (all with rekordbox 3.2) but it worked PARTIALLY.

I told I had forgotten to drag the tracks INSIDE rekordbox to the external drive, but the problem is that I did that with only two of my playlists the SECOND time I tried, as a form of test. I checked on the new MacBook Pro and voila' - as I wrote - those 2 playists were there...

But then I returned to the OLD MacBook to copy the REST of the tracks and playlists the same way (THIRD time I went to the old computer), and they were ALL GONE!!!

Please help....  I guess I must have a backup somewhere otherwise I wouldn't be able to do it the SECOND time right?

I had a version of RB 2.2 installed AND installed the 3.2 on the old Macbook... I know the key must be something with the backup.edb files, I read on the post, but should I look for on the ExternalDrive folder of the user/library/rekordbox or on the main folder? Wich backup files should I rename it?

I just spent an international call calling from Brazil to the 1-800-872-4159 number for help - because I figured it out would me much quicker if I had orientation by voice than over here - but the woman was not in a good mood... She was an @sshole actually.... and hang up on my face!!!  :(

Come on... I have been a Pioneer customer ever since de CDJ 100! That's not the way to treat customers....

If you could help me by skype or something I would really appreciate. My skype: tzancaner

I'm kind of desperate beacuse I play at a gig this saturday and my whole old library of cue points, playlists etc is gone.

Thanks a lot!

Cheers,

TZ

And I don't know if this helps or not, but I have everything exported (my old library, tracks etc) to 2 pendrives, that I did it with the 2.2 version of RB...

Thanks!

So in case anyone checks in on this post wondering what the problem / solution was, @TZ and I chatted on Skype for about an hour and determined that it was somewhere in the back-and-forth process that exporting his database from his old computer a second time (which was now "blank" because the drive hadn't been connected when rekordbox loaded), overwrote the "good" database on the external drive, thus blanking out his library.

He'll be looking to restore a backup from his Time Machine.

Fingers crossed!
