[SOLVED] Rekordbox Can not create the analysis file in the folder specified

Hello,

I am unable to solve a solved problem... I had a fresh mac install and rekordbox can't create the analysis file in the folder....

I just don't get it how to make another user file, or what would be the solution.

I have read the older topic from may, which is solved but I can't make it work I don't know the steps...

I am lil stressed out because tonight I have a gig from 11 PM EET.

could someone please help me?

Thank you!

Titus Carole

@Titus > Chances are you have migrated the database from another computer to this new one and didn't use the same username on both machines, thus creating a hiccup in the settings file looking for the database in a folder that doesn't exist. You can edit the settings file to change this, but I'll need a bit of info before providing you the instructions.

Can you tell me which folder is listed in rekordbox under Preferences > Analysis > Track Analysis > "PIONEER" folder

I also need you to open the finder and press Shift + Command + G and enter: ~/Library/Pioneer/rekordbox

Next, press Command + I and look under "Where" in the info box and write what it says here.

Hello Pulse,

Thank you very very very much for getting back to me on this case.

Can you tell me which folder is listed in rekordbox under Preferences > Analysis > Track Analysis > "PIONEER" folder ?!

  1. The Pioneer Folder is : /Users/laura/Library/Pioneer/rekordbox

Next, press Command + I and look under "Where" in the info box and write what it says here.

  1. Where: Work it /Users/Titus1mac/Library/Pioneer

Okay, I need you to go to Finder and press Shift + Command + G and enter: ~/Library/Application Support/Pioneer/rekordbox

Open the rekordbox3.settings file, and scroll down to find the line containing:

<VALUE name="pioneerDirectory" val="

Chances are yours will read:

<VALUE name="pioneerDirectory" val="/Users/laura/Library/Pioneer/rekordbox"/>

Change it to read:

<VALUE name="pioneerDirectory" val="/Users/Titus1mac/Library/Pioneer/rekordbox"/>

Save the file, close the editor, re-open rekordbox and try importing a new track, see if that works properly.
