Hi there!
I sometimes keep struggling with the datamanagment of rekordbox. Would it be possible to integrate an auto-search for lost music files like in serato? I have no idea how they make this but it's awesome! Maybe the program is adding an ID to every track so that the program automatically finds the tracks if you tell the program to do as so. Of course this only works when the path ist lost...
Whatever: i really like the new rekordbox! It is much more intuitive and better to work with.

No.
I want rekordbox to seach automatically the lost files. No matter if i change the files path/name or something else.
Serato can do as so. Maybe you check it out ;)

Sorry, the sarcasm was lost in translation.
That "Display All Missing Files" function is exactly what you want it to do - find and relocate missing / lost files.
Jep but I have to relocate every single file at its own. Serato can relocate his files on its own even if all files are missing; just with one single klick for all songs.
If rekordbox could do the same it would be a big help..

It should, provided the missing files are all within the same structure of movement - for example, if I had my files at X:\Music and moved them to Y:\Music, all I need to do is tell it where the first file is and it will relocate them all. BUT if I had them at X:\Music\ABC and I moved some to Y:\Music\ABC and others to Y:\Music\DEF then it would only relocate SOME of the music.
I know that but it is not useful if you organize your music in itunes...
It would be great if you add an auto re-locate function.
No software does a full auto-relocate, that would be a nightmare! You could possibly wind up with the wrong copy of a song being assigned to a database entry.
