RekordBox 3 some Flaws.
Playlists:
When Browsing large Folders it can be glitchy and freeze when scrolling down quickly (using a mac and trackpad). More annoying when you are in a large playlist with alot of tracks ranging from say 80 - 140 bpm and your in the middle of selecting tracks from the playlist at around the 120bpm mark, if you search for a track after you cancel the search you are led back to the beginning of the folder and most scroll all the way down to the point you were at again. After canceling a search you should be led back to the last track you highlighted in the playlist.
When You highlight. a playlist folder all the contained tracks should appear and you should be able to search the whole folder not just the playlist inthe folder individually.
When you select the collection tab, it should highlight.
The color scheme of the playlists when selected is too subtle and its very easy to delete an entire playlist by mistake when maybe you just wanted to delete a track or tracks in the playlist (would be a mistake on my part but when spending alot of time adjusting playlists it can happen very easily. Maybe a stronger colour or a key combo and even an Undo delete button would help.
WISHLIST:
There should be a battery display at the top.
Cues, Loops and grid info should be saved onto tracks tag...in the long run djs will loose, break and upgrade laptops and hardrives and all their up to date info will be lost and must be compiled again...i know theres a way to do it with directories or sumthin serato can do it so why not pioneer?
I think (there may already be?) there should be a button combo on the cdjs or a keyboard shortcut to get instant doubles e.g hold down cue and press play? or maybe even just limit the feature onto the nexus mixers as a treat for buying the top gear which would also work as an incentive for djs to network the mixers aswell as the deck, i do notice alot of djs dont??
Could be a nice feature on the internal player to allow you to have channels A & B play on 2 seprate channels on the nexus mixer using the usb soundcard or allow you to map the crossfader to the internal fader...just as a backup for switchovers or deck failures...im sure it would come in handy and you could again limit the function to nexus mixers to stop folk from just djing with the internal player and not buying any of your kit.
Just some thoughts....Im running a mac and using the Dj Link to connect to 3 cdj2000 nexus and a Djm900.
