Are they not working? Low volume? Try running setup wizard again. Then try another set of head phones if all else fails

FollowDDJ T1 Headphone Monitoring
Purchased a DDJ T1 a few weeks back, absolutely love it ... but struggling to monitor using headphones, presumably it's something through the settings in traktor that needs to be rectified, but I'm really unsure, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, there is nothing wrong with traktor itself ... + i have a brand new pair of HDJ 500s, so i am unsure to the problem
would it be something to do with the fact I'm running the master from the built in output on my macbook as opposed to the DDJ itself?
More than likely. There is no way to set two different audio sources. Set the master to left channel and monitor/cue to right channel just as a test.
I just did as I thought ... used a cable to hook the DDJ up to the monitors for master and then went into preferences to find that it now would enable me to monitor through headphones! ... peculiar however that you can't monitor when using the built in, it's quite a hassle to change cables over and what not. Perhaps there's a driver to download that enables this. Thanks for your help nonetheless :)

Glad you figured it out!
Also, not using the wall-power will result in a lower volume headphone monitoring.
I have a similar problem, I can hear the track playing but barley. Volume is up. I dont know what I'm doing wrong... Have brand new hdj-500 headphones.
@Pulse - should I then have connected both USB and Power Supply?
@S B > Yes; you should use the external power supply whenever possible.
@Meir > You need to provide us with a bit more information...
Hi I just bought my ddj t1 and I am not able to monitor using my headphones. I can only hear music through my headphones when i turn up the volume on my channel. This makes it impoosible for me to beatmatch. What settings do i have to do in traktor 2 to make it possible for me to monitor with my headphones?
