@Daniel > You've done everything correct; Master 1 and Master 2 are in parallel and provide the same output across each set of terminals. You shouldn't have to set anything on the software. Provided you have a song playing on deck A, the channel A fader is up and the master volume knob is turned to around 2 o'clock, you should have plenty of sound coming from your speakers.
In Need of HELP. Simple Answer For Most Of You DDJT1 basic setup question
I Purchased the DDJ T1 and I also purchased a pair of monitor speakers. How do I get them to work?
1) My ddj t-1 works perfectly with the traktor software but only sound comes from my headphones
2) Monitor speakers connected to AC, and RED WHITE Cables from the speaker to the controller on master out 2
NOTHING IS CONNECTED TO MASTER OUT 1 is this a problem?
The only thing i have connected is the speakers to master out 2.
i dont know how to set it up on the software, i am pretty clueless,
anyway I hope you can help as this has taken all my energy!
thanks in Advance.

Thanks for your reply, thats what I thought but its not working my guess is that the speakers are faulty.
i bought them today from a random shop ill go back tohim tomorrow.
@daniel hay while everyone claims you don't need to set anything in the software I have experience to the contrary. I had the same problem when I first got my T1. The wizard failed to set up the output routing correctly. Go to your PREFERENCES and then to OUTPUT ROUTING. Make sure that the MASTER is routed to the MASTER. When I first set up my T1 the MASTER was routed to the MONITOR. So I had sounds in my headphones but not from the speakers. As soon as I corrected the routing the problem was solved. Good luck.
Hey DJ B-LEVE thanks for your input, I dont have anything connected to the master on the T1,
so how should everything be setup?
Below is how my settings are setup. REMEMBER i dont have anything connected to the master output 1 only master output 2 behind the controller.
MIXING MODE = Internal
OUTPUT MONITOR L = 3 DDJ PHONES L
OUTPUT MONITOR R = 4 DDJ PHONES R
OUTPUT MASTER L** = 1 DDJ T1 MASTER L
OUTPUT MASTER R = 2 DDJ T1 MASTER R
Also let me add thati connected the red/white cable to my tv and the other to the speaker and it didnt work either. I also connected the red white cable to another dj unit of mine and theother end to the speaker and it didnt work either. It turns on and the led lights are on volume is set to normal but no sound comes out,
You're set up correctly. There is no need to have anything routed from Master 1, there are two masters to provide you with choices in terms of output, balanced, or unbalanced. If the fader is up, the master volume, and track gain knob is up, you see the VU meters going and still no sound then it seems as though you have a hardware issue, be it with the controllers or monitors. Also check your cables! I had a similar issue once, and instead of servicing the monitors tried some new cables and voila.
Yeah you're definately set up correctly. I agree with geminimech about checking your cables.
I would just like to say thank you very much to everyone who has helped me on this thread, The problem was the speaker itself was faulty even though i bought it brand new in the box! i got a new one now and everything seems to be working perfectly. You guys have helped me out becuase it is such a good quality product and it shows the importance of buying a brand name you can trust!
iv set up my ddj t1 ,i loaded the traktor disc,i had an older version of traktor (LE) but everything seems fine, its now ddj t1 traktor but nothing is working
What exactly isn't working?
it just wont work, when asked to activate i click on and it says everything is activated,so iv never put in a serial number or registered it
You should read the manual, it comes with very clear and concise instructions on exactly how to activate the product properly. If you are using a Mac, having LE on your computer shouldn't make a difference, it's smart enough to make folders for settings for each different version of Traktor. I can't comment on Windows, but I can't imagine it would be much different.
So when you say it doesn't work, that means it won't allow you to use the software? So you can't open up the 'Settings' tab to check if the controller is mapped and the I/O settings are correct?
