I DJ approx 30 weddings a year. For years I have used a combination of CDs and playing right out of itunes library at these weddings. It's time to get with the times (I know)!!! I have a MAC and I know I want to run Serato. So I really like the DDj s1. Im planning on purchasing one this week. However I have become fairly dependant on itunes. I like downloading a song and knowing I can play it that day. So my question is.... If I purchase some songs on my MAC the night before a wedding will the DDj SI / Serato itch automatically recognize these purchased songs and be able to play them without any additional work? Also I have set up many helpful playlists in my itunes. (First Dance) (Cake cutting) etc...Is it true Serato will recognize these playlists? WIll itch see the changes to playlists and new purchases I made on the laptop even when not plugged into the DDj s1 controller?

Serato (both Scratch Live and Itch) have the ability to read your iTunes library, so if you add new tracks, they'll get picked up in the Serato software automatically. You can even launch the software without the controller attached to manage and edit playlists!
Thank you so much. I bought my DDJ s1 two days ago and Im loving it. Going to break it in at this weekends Wedding. Thats good to know I can launch the software and get Itch all ready for the gig without even hooking up the controller. This just gets better and better. I think Im going to like the future!

I just got a DDJ S-1. I'm used to playing a cocktail hour right from iTunes. How do I do it now? Is there a way to have the DDJ S-1 play a song list from iTunes continuously? Sorry, I'm not very computer literate.
@Dave P > Yes, Serato DJ has a continuous play mode button on each channel. Just click that and it will play away through your playlist.
How do I get itch to recognize a song that I downloaded from itunes without restarting it? Is there a way to refresh or import while the software is running?
@Dave > If you navigate away from the folder you are using and then navigate back to it (in Itch) I believe it should show up.
