Follow[SOLVED] DDJ-S1 - Split Cue?
Just picked up a DDJ-S1 and am really digging it so far. Just one issue that I can't find over in the manual, serato or pioneer forums: How do you enable split cue?
On my djm mixer there is a hardware toggle for split cue but I dont see a corresponding option on the S1 hardware. Split cue must be in the software then?
Thanks.

Dear Pioneer,
The DDJ-S1 "was" going to be my next purchase, however I noticed there is NO split cue monitoring in the headphones neither NO booth control and no matter how great the product is………….this is a BIG selling point for me. Are the any plans to have these feature/s added?
They're not features that can be added without a hardware change, so no, sorry.
Thanks for your response.I hope Pioneer takes this/these features into consideration with an upgrade.
All feedback is valuable and passed on to product planning and engineering teams.
Why in the world would you make such a kick ass piece of gear and NOT include split cue? Guess I'll be looking at the Xone:DX instead.
Come on guys; common sense.
@Deejae > Evidently from research it was deemed as one of those features DJs didn't find hugely important. We can only work from the feedback we get.
Not sure who you were talking too but they must not mix in the headphones. This is a feature that is included on *most* controllers. I bought a Xone:DX from Allen & Heath specifically because they included it on theirs and you didn't on yours.
I mix in the headphones using the Headphone Mix knob that rotates between the Cue and Master. I find it works well - not that big a deal to me. Our surveys are sent out on these forums and through our social media - thats how we gather feedback.
the split cue is very helpful at times when you don't want two tracks running on top of each other regardless of the mix between cue and master in the headphones.
you guys left if off the ddj-xs or what it is for the Serato Dj....that's a deal killer on that piece of gear too.
So tell me again who you were talking too that made you think split cue, in general, isn't a good feature to have on equipment??

I bought the DDJ-SX in spite of the missing feature and it really is the only reason the controller isn't perfect. Pioneer should check with the Serato Djs on the forums before making future mistakes like this one.
Great, thanks for the information!
