The speakers you mention (SP4) are un-powered; the DDJ-ERGO does not have a built-in amplifier so you would require one to boost the signal level the ERGO sends as output.

Query Regarding Ergo ; Just Before I buy it !
Hey , Just need to know whether I can hook up this controller to passive speakers like SP4`s and all if playing at a large party or so ? I ask only because I havent seen a single video in which its connected to a pair of passive speakers ? Please say yes , since Iam this close to buying it ! Thanks !
