@Fistaz > It would seem the problem is the club. Is the laptop / WeGo sitting on top of an area prone to vibration?

Follow[SOLVED] DDJ-WEGO FREEZES WHILE PLAYING
I have the weirdest of problems maybe u can help me. When I play sets at home on my WEGO everything works fine. I can play however long I want but the minute I get to a club setting, my WEGO freezes within 10-15 minutes. Nothing responds on the unit although the software is running perfect. This has happened 3 times already. I use the same laptop and USB cable. What could be the problem? This is really frustrating... I use: Traktor Pro 2 with correct TSI (same thing happens even with VDJ) 2012 MacBook Pro with Retina Display Latest Firmware for the DDJ and MB Pro @fistazmixwell - Johannesburg, South Africa

Finally someone with the same problem!
Yeah i have the same problem with the WEGO ... i have never used the wego in a club since i've got the wego
the wego is brand new and stop working about 2-4 times in one hour....
my laptop is a new sony vaio and everything is on the latest updates (laptop/wego/traktor pro 2)
i use the pioneer dj tsi file for wego exactly like "FISTAZ MIXWELL" so FISTAZ ...youre not alone with that problem :( !!!
the wego stands on my technics 1210er turntable case and nothin can vibrate or something.
So tell me what im doing wrong or what kind of problem the wego got? pleaaase ... i dont want to have this problem in a club while im mixing o.O
regards FRU-TEE
The problem was with the USB cable that comes with the controller. I replaced it with my normal USB printer cable and voila its been perfect ever since. Hope this solves your proble.

first of all, THANK YOU FOR THIS MESSAGE!!! :) :) :)
its unbelievable but i wanted to send u a message too that i was replaced the USB cable from my traktor audio 6 soundcard to my wego and it works without any problems :D
but you were faster :D
thank you and have a nice weekend without wego-freezes ;)
I'm having the exact same issue while using the Wego with Traktor. It will work fine for a certain amount of time (anywhere between 20 mins to an hour), then the controller just locks out. I've tried using different USB cables like the previous posts have suggested but I still get the same problem. I've uninstalled/reinstalled Traktor, the Pioneer ASIO software, TSI file etc and hasn't made a difference :/ HELP!!!
Hey Ian,
the problem with the wego is back again...the trick with new USB cable doesnt work for me :/
the next idea is:
start your laptop and wait till everything is up.
start the wego and wait for about 30 seconds.
then start traktor and do your mix.
dont know why but yesterday this works for me....
when the problem comes back, you will find a new message from me here ^^
sry my english skillz are not the best. :D
when someone got a new idea how to fix that shit .... let us know please! thnx!
I will give that a try this afternoon and see how it goes. Normally I boot Traktor straight after switching on the Wego, so I'll try your suggestion and leave it for at least 30 seconds
Managed about 90 minutes this time but the controller still locked out. Anyone from Pioneer got some suggestions?! :)
yeah.. the same thing with my wego :(
next idea is to change some settings in the sound options ... i try to change the "kernel buffers" from 3 to 4 and maybe the bit's from 24 to 16 .... that is my last idea. SO PIONEER PEOPLE ...PLEAAAASE WE NEED HELP!!!! :(
also try to keep both bluetooth and wifi off and make sure you have the power connected to the laptop... hope you get it right. i did all this including changing the standard issue usb cable. Good luck :::: macbook pro retina display/traktor pro 2.6
i keep bluetooth and wifi always off and the power cable is always conected to the laptop when i mixing. so thank you for the info but it not fix the problem of my wego :(
Question:
can the "enable multi processor..." option fix the problem?
got a sony vaio with dual-core i3 processor?
dont know what it meens with the multi core enable stuff..?!
I too had all wireless switched off, laptop plugged into mains. I also kept an eye on the 'LOAD' meter in Traktor and it never went above half way. I have dual-core but I haven't tried to run Traktor with the multi-processor option turned on yet.
okay ... mhh
i have the multi proc. option always on ...
but the LOAD meter is never reach above half too.
so that should also not be the problem :/
i'll try it with the kernel buffer size from 3 to 4 ...what ever this meens :D
TEST RESULT:
the result of taking the "kernel buffer" from 3 up to 4 is half good and half bad.
the wego is still trying to freeze but u can quickly push the START/STOP button to stop the playing deck and the wego will fix himself.
in my mix i've tried one hour to provoke the freeze error and the wego tried 5 times to freeze. I started to push the Play/Pause button to stop the deck and the wego was fixing himself in about 2 - 6 seconds ....
i'll try some more options the next days...hope this will help first.
good night :)
just stop the deck that u hear in the headphones or that has made the error not the deck that comes thru your speakers ;)
KERNEL BUFFER 3 to 4 still works for me about 3 days! ... :)
hm ... my wego freezes again :(
no idea what i can do to fix this sh*t
I have same problem. The VDJ pro I am using freezes within 1-1 1/2 hour of mixing. Wake up pioneer guys and help us out,
dont know whats wrong yet ... my wego freezes within 5-10 minutes .... i've tried to chance the audio settings (buffer size, latency) 6 times ... nothing!!!
wego freezes and freezes and god damn freezes ...
300€ that i've thrown out of my window.
(2) Possible solutions
Your Hard drive maybe almost max'd out to capacity & needs to be cleaned. (Check the storage on your Hard drive)
ie. Let's say you have a 500 GB Hard drive & it has used 460 GB of Storage , , , , Get it below 450 GB and try to keep it that way when utilizing various DJ Programs.
Next upgrade the RAM cards on your computer.
If you currently have 4GB's of RAM then upgrade the RAM to 8GB's of RAM and this should help resolve your problem.
** Also I used the djay Software Program with my Wego & I have not had any problems. Let me know if this helps resolve your issue. ** ~ DJ Gerald (old-School DJ) ~
Thanks for the input Gerald but in my instance it's nothing to do with my computer specs. A friend has the ddj-t1 controller and we used it Saturday night with my laptop running Traktor without any issues at all. There's obviously some compatibility problem with the Wego and Traktor or maybe it's because the Wego is purely powered by USB. Either way this is totally unacceptable and I hope that the guys at Pioneer come up with a solution, otherwise I'm going to have return my controller and try to get a refund because it's not fit for the purpose advertised.
i give up!
throw the wego out of the window and buy a besster controller ...hope then everything is fine ....
good luck to all wego dj's
"a better" ... silly buttons :D
Hi,
I also have problem with the DDJ-Wego as its losing its connection while playing.
Virtual DJ is still playing the songs as nothing have happened through the WeGo audio output.
Its just that the controllers doesnt work... Only way the get back is to power off the WeGo and turn off Virtual DJ then Turn on the WeGo and then the Virtual DJ. Pretty annoying during a gig.
I will check if replacing the USB will help out here
So this seemes to be more than just one person having this problem... Pioneer... are you looking into this?
All you can try is:
- open the link and scroll down to the "ENERGY OPTIONS" ...
- change the energy saver options on your pc/laptop
- go to Device manager and disable your onboard soundcard and your wlan/wifi adapter!!! this is importent!!!
- deinstall/reinstall the driver for ddj wego (do this everytime you restart windows!)
- connect the wego to your pc/laptop and start your dj software
- check the audio/latency options in the software for the wego.... 44.1khz maybe 48khz.... 256 or 128 latency and 1 or 2 ms usb buffer size
this fixed my problem with the NI Kontrol s4 and traktor pro 2 ... maybe it will fix your problems with the wego too!
good luck and let me know if it works! :)
forgot the link ^^

STEFAN: same problem with the same set up. Let me know if somebody figures it out, now that im stuck with this thing
i have had the same issue with wego freezing on virtual dj pro windows vista and windows 7. i have now tried a new laptop with windows 7 and still the same . i have tried new usb leads as well to no effect, im going to try increase the video memory in bios and try an older video driver to see if this changes anything.. also i am going to try a powered usb hub to run the wego from
FIXED IT! First of all here's what I'm using to run it:
White refurbished 2009 Macbook, 2.16ghz, 2meg ram, 150 gig hard drive and Virtual DJ version 7.2.0
I swapped out the usb for a regular cable
I made sure the 'energy saver' was turned completely off
made sure all screen savers were turned completely off
made sure to turn off blue tooth
uploaded version 7.2 Virtual Dj
made sure to start the controller 1st, then load the VDJ program
made sure my Mac was plugged in, NOT running off the battery
*Since I did all these steps, I've played twice in front of massive crowds in two different cities for 2-4 hours per gig with not one single hiccup. Now I swear by the WeGo. I hope this helps,
