Status of DDJ-SX Backorders

I ordered the DDJ-SX on 11/10/2012 from an Authorized Pioneer Online Retailer. I called the retailer today for a status and they claim that there's a mic input issue with the SX and that this is holding up distribution and the fulfillment of backorders. Is this true? When can I expect the backorder/supply issue to be resolved? Two years ago, I order the S1 from the same retailer during it's first week of release and had no delay in getting it. Thank you : )

I'm in the same boat. I live in Calgary, Canada though. I've ordered 3 from my local dealer around the beginning of November. They said it was going to be released around December 1. Come December 1st. I checked on the status of my pre-order and was informed that it's been pushed back to December 21st. A buddy of mine called a few days ago because he pre-ordered one too; and he was told that we are now looking into middle of January for it to come.

I would also like to know what the situation is with this microphone input? I was so close to buying this and then heard about the microphone error and well this is a deal breaker. A microphone is a massive part of what I do in a club & more to the point I was planning on using this to make radio/podcasts and keep it at home.

So..

How bad is the backlog order?

Same over in Vancouver. Pre ordered a month ago and no word on a date, but i've given up hope for 2012, i for see this arriving sometime in January. Would rather the updated hardware anyway, hopefully they use a new mic input or preamp that solves the issue a lot of people are having.
