well it happens with me every time I mix using VDJ pro. I posted on the VDJ forum and it is usual replt like update your firmware and driver. I have done all that - can use my software with my good old Hercules RMX without any problems for any length of time but every time have a crash when I use DDJ WEGO for more than an hour. I hope they come up with a fix soon

Follow[SOLVED] DDJ Wego + Traktor 2 pro, crashing controls
Hey there, Im using a DDJ Wego and traktor pro2 to mix (not recording, sampling or anything). But after a none specific time the whole controller shuts itself off, just letting the built in soundcard available. (the jog dial and LEDs beneath turn off, just the FX-buttons stay lit...and soundcard keeps working).
The only thing I can do is to "reboot" the Wego resulting in the sound to stop and traktor to recognize a missing soundcard. So it takes like 1 minute to reset everything.I hope anyone knows this problem, since one can't really mix with this setup, shutting itself off after 10 minutes.
I thought about the USB-Port maybe cutting the power supply, but I did change it already and the soundcard isnt even stuttering when it happens, so I dont think it's the USB-Ports really.
Any suggestions?

Your Hard drive maybe almost max'd out to capacity & needs to be cleaned. (Check the storage on your Hard drive)
ie. Let's say you have a 500 GB Hard drive & it has used 460 GB of Storage , , , , Get it below 450 GB and try to keep it that way when utilizing various DJ Programs.
Next upgrade the RAM cards on your computer.
If you currently have 4GB's of RAM then upgrade the RAM to 8GB's of RAM and this should help resolve your problem.
** Also I used the djay Software Program with my Wego & I have not had any problems. Let me know if this helps resolve your issue. **

Hi, FRU-TEE
I am facing the similar issue now since last week.
I am using a DDJ-WeGO with the following laptop.
When I just started to playing mix it is working fine, but its control will crash after 30 - 60 mins.
MacBook Air (mid 2013) / Core i7 / 8GB ram / OS X 10.8.4
Traktor pro 2.6.1
WeGO firmware : 1.09
I got an advice from pioneer guy to adjust the jog dial’s MIDI message sending interval.
(Please refer to the operating instructions of WeGO P.17)
I will try to change the interval tonight, and update soon.
Regards,
Kouichi
I adjusted midi message sending interval from 0.1ms to 0.5ms, but the issue is still continuing.
Then after I changed power saving settings to disable all, the issue happens every 1 or 2 hour.
(Before disabling the power saving settings, the issue happened several times in one hour)
So it is thought to be due to OS issue, too.
However, I cannot identify the cause of the issue any more. My DDJ-T1 is working fine with my laptop. So I also throw WeGO out of the window ;-(
Has anyone had any luck with this beyond adjusting power settings? I've tried the above steps and experience a full midi dropout with the wego on a 2013 macbook air with 8gb ram, half the hard drive free, i7 cpu. Doesn't matter if I switch the cable, or use Traktor or Serato DJ Into, stops after 2-3 songs.
Weirdly, I can still change the colors with the shift button... it just seems to stop sending midi after a certain amount of time. I have not installed the driver as the website said it was not necessary, but could that be the issue?
AH! If you have a Macbook Air, this may be related: http://serato.com/forum/discussion/1052265
I noticed that this thread is quite recent so I am curious if anyone happened to find a fix for this issue? I have been having the same issue with my DDJ-WeGO using Windows 7 on a desktop if that helps at all.
If anyone knows of a fix or anywhere that one was mentioned it would be greatly appreciated.
The best thing to do is install the vdj le first then the pro is has to be 7.4.0 or 7,5.0 or its not going to work don't unistall the vdj le but you can delete the shortcut
If anyone is still having issues with this I have found something that seems to work for me (on Windows). If you go Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus controllers. Open the drop down and find the "USB Root Hub" that your WeGO USB cable is plugged into. After that right click the appropriate Hub and select Properties > Power Management and uncheck the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option. As far as I have experienced this fixes the problem with the WeGO half shutting off during a mix.
I hope this helps!
