DDJ T1 Microphone Setup, no sound from speakers

hey guys,

just bought a basic microphone with a 1/4 inch jack to plug into my ddj t1, followed the manual on setting uo input switch to "mic2,  went on the audio set up and the input routing, i have set the input aux set to "ddj t1 aux-mic L" & "ddj t1 aux-mic R" and there seems to be sound coming into traktor as the bars next to the L and R are going up when i speak into the mic, however i am getting no sound out of my monitors. Could any body help me out with this one? or has anybody encountered the same problem? im quite keen to get this mic working so i can start hosting my podcasts
