What kind of headphones are you using?
Hello.
My headphones volume on the DDJ SB is too low. When i go to the setup page in the Serato intro software i cant change the gain of the headphones/cue.
Other people have reported this problem too on this page: http://serato.com/forum/discussion/1196489

What kind of headphones are you using?
i have the same problems with my ddj-sb
i'm using beats by dre…. i try other headphones pioneer 1000 but nothing.
There may be other factors at play...
What is the channel gain set to? (What level is the peak on the channel meter?)
Are you cueing the channel or the master output?
What is the master output set to (What level is the peak on the master meter?)
Where is the cue-mix set to?
I really apreciate your help but i hope you know your products and there is no master indicator aswell as a chanel indicator. There isnt even a gain knob on the SB
Besides this i have a HDJ500. I have tried multiple pc's and at some the volume is good and some it isnt.
The firmware 1.04 is not downloadable from your website, i get an error
@Juun > With the SB, all but the master level are within the software -- and still applicable. I'm guessing you guys haven't changed them from the defaults?

@Juun > Try here, worked for me: http://pioneerdj.com/support/product.php?c=3373&dl=1&lang=en&p=DDJ-SB&t=287
@Pulse, i use serato intro what i got with my sb. The intro hasnt got these indicators. And besides that on my laptop the sound is lower than when i plug in the sb to my pc. What could be the problem
Using intro on both the pc and the laptop. Both lap and pc have newest drivers.
Please help me out because the SB is useless at this point.
Upgrading to 1.04 did not fix the problem as well
Aaah, sorry, missed the "Intro" in your original post!
Correct, there are no individual channel items as shown above (from Serato DJ), I'll pass this one to the engineers as I see the Serato forums have closed the thread on their forums and directed users here.
Here is what the engineers have responded:
Power saving mode might be activated on the user’s SB, which drops the headphone level by 15%. If the computer does not provide over 4.5V via USB, it will enter "power saving" mode. (When the computer is in "power saving" mode, CUE button is always flashing). Please advise the users to connect AC power to his computer and remove other USB devices.
Please understand that SB's headphone level is not so loud as those of DJM series. Also, Serato DJ Intro for DDJ-SB does not have "CUE Gain" feature on its GUI, this is why it is grayed out.
There might be a hardware problem. If the output level is too low, it might be caused by an audio defect. This could be fixed by sending the unit to the service for repair or replacement.
I am marking this thread as solved; if you still experience issues with your SB, please create a new topic and link back to this one. Please DO NOT piggy-back on another user's thread.
