I found this video on youtube, I having this similar issue

In the middle of a set, my left jog wheel froze. I could play the music but could not use the jog wheel to move to specific points for cueing or scratch. I bought it in December of 2013 and it has the latest firmware. Luckily I figured how to use the touch pads and cue the points as the song was playing but it was a bit annoying. Once the gig was over I restarted the controller and software (Serato) and the jog wheel was working again. I have played at over a dozen gigs since I bought this controller with practice almost everyday and this was the first time this has happened. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if it's software or hardware that's the problem, let me see what I can find out for you.
Thanks! From the video, the DJ mentioned that his controller could have been part of a bad batch of units. Could you tell by serial number when my unit was manufactured? Is it possible I got a bad unit which was part of that batch? I tested my controller for about an hour tonight and it worked fine. I'm still worried I may experience this issue randomly though, especially during a gig.

Sean, please contact Pioneer technical support in your region for further assistance; it sounds like there may be a hardware issue with the jog.
