Just an update - I have tried it using Serato now and all the channels work fine so I'm thinking it could be a mapping issue with VDJ ?

[OPEN] DDJ-SX
Hi guys I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction for an answer to a few issues I am having with my new DDJ- SX.
I have the controller loaded up to my PC (Win 7) and I am using VDJ Pro (V7) (I haven't had time to get used to Serato yet!) The controller works fine and all the buttons & pads do what they are supposed to ! The main issues I am having is -
I have a 2 deck setup on VDJ and when playing out of 'deck 1' both CH faders for channels 1 & 3 work with the LED levels showing sound on both channels and the same for 'deck 2' both CH faders on channels 2 & 4 work with the LED levels showing sound on both these channels.
At the moment the input select switch is set to PC on all channels 1 - 4 but if I change it on channel 3 to CD for example the LEDS on both channel 3 & 1 stop working although I'm still getting sound out of my speakers, ( and the lights on Load & Cue change as well)
I am sure I am missing something simple here but for the life of me can't work out what I'm doing wrong and I hope my explanation makes sense ! So any advice will be gratefully received !

Yep, sounds like a mapping issue with VDJ. Have you followed their instructions for renaming the device so everything works properly?

Hi Thanks for the reply, for others reading this with a similar issue it was resolved by using a 4 deck skin on VDJ and playing with the input switches on the SX a bit and all seems to be working now although saying that there does seem to still be mapping issue's on VDJ (7) not tried version 8 yet but is does work good enough to play out with - time to learn Serato though me thinks which is faultless with this unit
