Tension Adjustment knob Loose?

Is it normal the tension adjustment knob is a little loose? I can wiggle the knob a little bit.

@Tony > There should be a little bit of play, the knob is not attached to a metal post of a pot bolted to the faceplate, so a bit of movement is normal, but a LOT of wiggle is not.

I have the same problem with one of my cdj2000 players.

Problem with the player no 1 :

I do not meet the same resistance while adjusting the jog tension (turning the tension knob, not spinning the platter ). There is a big difference between the 2 players tension knobs.  Furthermore, i'm hearing a strange clicking noise coming from beneath the platter. I've heard this noise before on the other cd player, but now is gone. On this cd player the clicking noise is getting louder and more frequent  (at times is gone).

Never dropped down or mishandled.

Problem with the player no 2 :

The other cd player seems to have a jog wheel tension problem. I need to set the tension knob all the way to the right (maximum) to have the same jog tension a normal cdj2000 would have while the jog tension knob is set to 12 o'clock.

I used a few cdj2000 players, so i'm sure the problems lies in this one.

I have a similiar issue, one of my CDj Tension knobs has more of a 'click' as its tightened than the other.

I've already heard a few persons complaining about this problem, so i thought it would be a good idea to inform pioneer about mine too. There might be a design problem with some pieces of hardware inside the cd players. This information might be used in the feature development of  better components !

Forgot to mention, the clicking noise that comes from beneath the platter it happens whilst spinning the platter, not whilst adjusting the tension knob.
