Questions on Traktor 2 PRO and also connecting to my MIXER :(

I made some progress. I followed online instructions and I seem to have my Traktor 2 Pro set up with the CDJ's - GOOD

But when I move the SCRATCH WHEEL - it doesn't scratch, it just makes faster or slower tempo - is that coz I have Traktor 2 Pro and NOT Traktor Scratch 2?

--

Also I'm confused with my mixer. It doesn't seem to be working right.

It is a 3 channel mixer.

Numark M4 3 Channel Mixer

CDJ 1 is connected to the back which reads - CH1 on back of mixer in the LINE connection

CDj 2 I connected to CH3 on back of mixer to same line connection

On the CDJ's, in DISK UTILITY section, I have them set up right. CDJ one is MIDI CH 1 and CDJ 2 is MIDI CH 3

When I load music into them, on my mixer only CH1 FADER seems to be controlling both. CH2 or CH3 FADER is not controlling the CDJ 2 - know what I'm doing wrong?

@ umar i have mine set as channel 1 and  channel 2 dont know if it will make a difference but i would recomend you try it , turn the CDJ's on and put to control mode then open traktor, go to file, preferences and sound setup, make sure it is set to pioneer aiso, then go to output routing and set deck

a & b to a cdj, some times deck a will go through channel 2 on your mixer  and deck b through chanel 1 if so go back into output routing and change it so the sound is going through the right channel

hope this is helpful for you

yeah i am still answering you was out before very busy at the moment, under disk utility dont worry about the midi channels they are only for software, when using cds or usb the midi channel has nothing to do with it,

Go to traktor audio settings choose external mixer, route your cdjs to the audio outputs in the settings pannel, for scratch function you have to press the vinyl mode button on the cdj...note that sync function ...dont know why...is not mapped for the cdjs350 in traktor so do it yourself, map the beatlock button as sync and change your midi channels with the disk utility as ch1 and ch2 for each of the cdjs

no need to applogise, if you need help thats why we are here, ok so your decks are controling the traktor but nothing happens when useing your mixer?

if this is the case you have not set up traktor for use with an external mixer, click file and preferences and click output routing, chose external mixer, and set each deck to play through the relivent channels, if you require more help come back to me and i will be happy to try and help

Hi people, I'm having some problems connecting my gear to my MacBook Pro, I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I have 1 DJM350W and 2 CDJ250W and when I connect them to my laptop I am only able to hear them through 1 channel, and the fader, of course, is only getting sound out of that channel.

I've tried all the possibilites and I'm considering giving up.. I don't know what to do..

Also, i cant preview the songs with my headphones plugged into the mixer.

I hope someone can help me,

Thanks.

@Lee Henry > It's always good to start a new thread when dealing with a different issue.

Did you set up to use an "aggregate" device on your MacBook Pro?

Are you using software such as Virtual DJ or Traktor? If so, which one, and which version?

What version of Mac OS X are you running?

Have you ensured your CDJ's and DJM are on the latest firmware?

Please let me know when you can.

Thanks,
