pioneer 350 headphone problem

i am kind of lost with this, are you saying you need one ear cup to be louder than the other?

if so you need mono headphones or headphone that can switch between sterio and mono, i dont understand why you would want this tho, because if you want mono sound use the headphones for the cue channel and only wear one ear cup, i dont use mono sound because it has a problem in the sence that nearly everything in the body has a dominate feature

eample right handed or left handed

right eye or left eye dominate (only time that i know of to be important is firearms training)

even your legs have a more dominate leg,

i know it all sounds stupid but your ears are no different, you will have one stronger than the other so using sterio sound is much better, and if it is too loud there is a volume control for the headphones, i may have misunderstood the problem and you mean something totally different if so try and explain exactly what it is you are hoping to achive

@bryan b > So long as each of your channels are metered the same, they will sound the same in the headphones.  You can also use the MIXING knob to adjust the level balance between the cued channel and your master signal should you not have the master peaking the same as the channels.

ok sory if yous dont understand its hard to say it words with out showing yous , when say deck one is playing i want to line up deck twos beat i pres in ch - 2 and then i want ch-2 to be a bit louder that ch-1 so i can get the beat matching but on this pioneer 350 mixer all i can hear is ch-2 playing and theer isent a option to control the two chanels , if i press in ch-1 and ch-2 at the same time i just get the two song playing realy loud and still i cant control with one i want to be louder then the other does that make sense

@bryan b > I understand you but I think the problem is how you're using the headphone monitoring system.

Set the MIXING knob at 12o'clock (a perfect mix of CUE and MASTER), then the volume to suit your ears (not too loud!)

Play a track on CH1, set the crossfader curve select switch to THRU, take the CH1 channel fader to 10.  Adjust the channel gain so you have the 0dB LED illuminating, but not much beyond that.  Adjust the master knob until the master meter matches the CH1 meter.

With neither of the CUE lighs illuminated, you'll now be listening to the master.

Play a track on CH2, but don't raise the CH2 channel fader.  Adjust the channel gain so the CH2 meter peaks at 0dB.

Now, press CH2's cue button.  It should have the same volume level as the master, in a split-cue.  If you want to dim the volume of the master in your headphones, adjust the MIXING knob towards CUE.  If you want the master to be louder than the cue, turn the knob towards MASTER.

Pressing both CH1 and CH2 cue buttons will overlay both sources in stereo, as opposed to the split-cue of only having one cue selected.  You can turn the knob all the way to CUE but both sources will remain the same volume; turning it toward MASTER will leave you with CH1 playing louder as you now have CH1 as well as CH1 playing through the master being cued in the headphones.

I hope you better understand the general operation of the headphone cueing system through this description.
