Hi
I just bought a pair of brand new cdj-2000´s and are setting them up in my house. I´ve
been playing cd´s up to recently but have now switched to SD cards.
When connecting the players i used the Lan cables that came with the cdjs but it did not work,
had them turned off without power when connecting, tried both cables that came with the individual players but still
no connection! So, i go and get an old Lan cable (like really old from a hotel, one of the shitty ones) and boom! it´s working.
Why would you have such bad quality on the cables you include in the package? I´ve seen complaints in other treads aswell.
It´s not exactly the first thing you wanna be dealing with when connecting a brand new product costing a fortune.
On the positive side, i´ve been playing like this for a while and love it when it works.

On the positive side I also like my cdj2000s, but some things need to be fixed!!
Nice one!! Take care

Cables are a common failure point with computers and electronics, even brand new Monster cables can fail and they charge a boatload for those.
@Pulse, really?
I've had my fair amount of hardware failures, I have, but never due to cabling issues.. wish I was that lucky lol
@ Arie Lekstman > Sometimes it's a cable error, others it's the user who makes a simple mistake with cables, or it's sometimes the user isn't knowledgeable enough and seeks assistance. No reference to anything/anyone specific, but I've seen a good share of all three and have never come across an actual defect with a professional product I've seen or used. Maybe it's luck I've only ever had/seen simple cable issues, but I believe it.
Pulse is spot on about Monster though, I've heard a lot of stories/reviews about their cables failing.
Hi there,
I have just read to comments on this topic here as I had the same problem with getting a link between my two brand new cdj2000's. I tried both of my LAN cables that come with the units and had no joy. I tested both of them with a cable tester and the pin config was correct so i thought it may have been the RJ45 plugs in the units themselves but when i plugged in another patch lead (1m Molex Cat 6 RJ45 patch lead) it booted up instantly. So im not too sure exactly what the problem was, maybe they were sitting a bit loose in the socket and not making contact, but its working fine now! I also agree with Pulse, I would recommend that if you have the same problem buy a good quality patchlead with a solid boot on the both ends!
Dennis.
I've had quite a few leads fail in the last few years - ones that came with my router for example.
However, I've been using the CDJ cables without fail since I first got the units (and that was before any of you lot - except Pulse of course!).
